Hello and welcome to Joe's WalkMS Information Page
Here is a letter from Joe explaining how he plans to raise 100K this Spring!
My name is Joe Piechota, and on June 21, 2025, I am running 100 miles to raise $100,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. One of my best friends, Irene, has had MS for 24 years and struggles every day. I have seen her condition worsen over the years and how it has severely affected her daily life. Most recently, she moved out of her home of many years into a building with an elevator, because stairs were no longer an option. Every year, my family and I participate with Irene in WalkMS Westchester, and our team, 2Steppers (www.2steppers.org), is getting close to raising a million dollars since 1999 when Irene was diagnosed!
This year, I am looking to raise a record amount of money by doing something extraordinary. In June I will be running in The Great New York 100 Mile Running Exposition held yearly in New York City (www.tgny100.com). This is a 100 mile race on foot and I will have 30 hours to complete the course. I am currently in the middle of my six month training for this race, with my goal to bring greater awareness of MS and make a bigger impact in the fight for a cure.
To donate, please use the black button to go to my WalkMS 2025 fundraising page. It only takes a minute. Also, please don’t forget to apply for a company match if your employer participates! o amount is too small, as we all have the power to make a difference for those living with, and for the future of multiple sclerosis.
I am asking for your help in spreading this message to everyone you know. Please forward, repost, share, etc. this link/message with your friends and family and/or on social media. The more people who hear about this, the better chance I have to reach this momentous goal!
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!
Best,
Joe
